X-ray transmission (XRT) sorting identifies materials by atomic density, separating aluminum from heavier metals such as copper, zinc, brass and lead.

Installed after an eddy current separator, XRT technology upgrades mixed nonferrous material, improves aluminum purity and recovers higher-value metals from Zorba and similar scrap streams.
